O God, we thank Thee that Thou hast preserved us a nation with liberty and justice. Help us this day to honor the men who fought and died for our Union. May we realize how nearly the spirit of patriotism is to Thine own great Heart, and may we serve Thee the better for the memories of to-day. Amen.
