We thank Thee, our Father in heaven, for health and strength, for life and opportunity for service.  Break unto us day by day the bread of life.  Cleanse us from sin, and all secret faults and evil desires.  Renew in us day by day right spirits*, pure motives and unto Thee be all glory, all honor for propagating life which Thou hast begun in us.  Give us our daily bread, as Thou seest we need.  In Thy name.  Amen.

*  I have not as of yet felt compelled to formally challenge any of the perceived doctrines in these published prayers though I came close a few times when the prayer intimated that we require a repeated “cleansing” of our sins as this morning’s “Morning Grace” expresses.  However, that coupled with the phrase,
“renew in us day by day new spirits” has prompted me to point out that Believers are to submit to only one spirit, and that’s the Holy Spirit.
