In his bid to violate every single protection guaranteed under the Bill of Rights, President Obama signed a late New Year’s Eve Bill called the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA). While the citizenry sipped champagne and watched the Time Square Ball drop, this unprecedented totalitarian grasp of power under Sections 1021 and 1022, allows the Federal Government through the military, to arrest and detain any US Citizen without suspicion, probable cause, or formal charge(s)–INDEFINITELY!

Where are all the Anti-Patriot Act useful idiots now?

But don’t worry. After insisting that passage be added to the Bill, President Obama assured us in a signing statement that he would never do this to us.

“I want to clarify that my Administration will not authorize the indefinite military detention without trial of American citizens.”

Feel better?

1. Why insist on it then?
2. What about future Presidents?

Toto, we’re not in America anymore.
