When the distinction between two divergent concepts is small, the differences are harder to appreciate. However, when the distinction between two divergent ideas is great, they are much easier to discern and distinguish between. Take the worldview timelines for evolution theory and creation. One deals in billions of years; one in thousands. Therefore, given the vast difference–20 billion years ago to 6 thousand years ago, it should not be very difficult to determine which projection is closer in time to the evidence.
Yet here once again, we shall prove that this earth is young based on the testable, demonstrable and repeatable. You know…Science!
The Sahara Desert is the largest desert on earth and is located in Northern Africa. The Sahara Desert gets larger every year based on a phenomenon called desertification.
Hot easterly winds blowing off the desert, kill vegetation to the west as the desert expands in perpetuity.
Every age estimate of the Sahara places it at right around 4,400 years old.

Scientist’s best calculation regarding the age of that desert is 4,400 years old–exactly when the Bible places the worldwide Noahic Flood!
Well, if the earth is really 4.6 billion years old and there was never a worldwide flood as outlined in the Book of Genesis, then why don’t we have a larger desert somewhere?
Conversely, it makes clear and perfect sense that the oldest desert would not have been able to form until after the flood waters receded as the Bible lays out–4,400 years ago!

I support faith and argue often and strongly in its defense but the argument presented above is so moronic that it must surely be written either by an eight year old or by someone who wants to confirm that creationists are idiots.
